The company has enhanced its DatChat messaging platform — DatChat Social Network+ — to include content aggregation, discoverability, social engagement features, a verified influencer platform and monetization tools.

The expansion offers users the ability to find and engage with personally relevant content within the privacy and protection of the DatChat ecosystem.

Users can now access a feed of content served on the Social Network+, create communities and pages based on interests and follow one another. Users of Social Network+ can also create both private and public communities and groups.  

Privacy is Primary

“We have the same right to privacy online that we all enjoy in our homes and with our friends in real life,” Darin Myman, founder and CEO of DatChat, said.

“Our primary focus in development remains protecting the privacy of our users, and the DatChat Social Network+ platform offers content and engagement in a private and self-moderated place. Our platform exists to offer our users a platform where they can have the same conversations online that they are already having in real life,” he added.

DatChat’s core model and key differentiator from social media giants like Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ: FB) and Twitter Inc. (NYSE: TWTR) is personal privacy. The messaging and app platform uses patented technology to maintain privacy for users and ensure user data is in the user’s control.

All posts are encrypted and can be permanently deleted at any time or set to self-destruct at a specific time, allowing users to share with the privacy and protection they deserve. Additionally, users can screenshot protect the information they share.

Product Launches

The DatChat+ expansion of features will begin rolling out with a Phase 1 launch of Social Network+, including content aggregation, discoverability, social engagement features, public and private social network creation, dark mode and a verified influencer platform.

Phase 2, scheduled to launch next month, will include influencer tools for monetization and content creation, group moderation, new enhanced commenting and controls and enhanced social networking and messaging features available via in-app purchase.

The national marketing campaign to drive user growth is expected to launch this November. DatChat Social Network+ is available as a free download for iOS and Android.
